SUMMARY of thesis of the scientific degree of candidate in History, specialty code – 07.00.02 – Native land History (History of the Republic of Kazakhstan) BORANBAEVA BAKTYLY SANSYZBAYEVNA Gumar Karash’s life and his socio-political activity. Object of research is the life and socio-political activity of Gumar Karash. The research is based on archives and various valuable sources. Urgency of the theme: Investigation of socio-political and creative activity of Kazakh intellectuals, who dedicated themselves to devoted service to their own country in different periods of life became actual nowadays while gaining by our country its independence. An opportunity for the scientists for carrying out the research work freely in this sphere has presented itself only after gaining the independence of our Republic. Thus, the main works dedicated to the life and activity of Alash representatives have been published only in recent years. Notwithstanding, its not possible to assert that nowadays vital activity of Alash representatives has been fully investigated. In this connection highly urgent is the investigation of both: the role of the individual in our history especially representatives of national liberation movement of Kazakh people in the first quarter of the XX century and their conceptual positions. It’s also necessary further intensification of investigations in this sphere for discovering new sides of the history of national elite representatives’ life and activity united by Alash movement. That’s why the object of our study has become the life and socio-political activity of one of the outstanding representatives of Kazakh national intelligentsia – Gumar Karash.
