| Methodologically, the research is carried out by using the historical-anthropological, hermeneutical, phenomenological methods.
Chronologically the dissertation deals with the time of the second half of 15th century till the present day. The conclusions of our research can be summed up as following: Most of Kazakh shezhires generally appeared as genealogical tables, while a part of them passed down as oral stories; Kazakh shezhires keeps rich and vivid information on the social structure and relative relationships of Kazakh as well as the relationships between Kazakhs and the social-ethnic groups that were combined into the Kazakh society, such as hojas and tores etc. The less studied formally information about the historical figures such as bays, biys, batyrs etc. in Kazakh shezhires can enrich our knowledge of the historical process of Kazakhs. From the historical-anthropological point, its very important to study the motioned information, because the traditional written sources, especially the other sources almost always tell us nothing about those figures that played key roles in Kazakh society; Almost all the Kazakh shezhires can be traced up with their forming process, and the information contained in them can be classificated into different layers, for example, from some Kazakh shezhires we can find the historical elements of old Turks that combines with those of Islamic culture; Just as in other historical sources, there are quite many subjective contents in shezhires, for example, we can find quite many facts in some shezhires, for example, we can find quite many unreliable, improvable and even false facts in some shezhires. But it does not mean that such kind of shezhires have no value as historical sources. As one of the main institutes of nomadic Kazakh society, shezhires played a rule of identification in Kazakhs. The special and unique cultural and spiritual values of Kazakh society can be revealed from Kazakh shezhires. The dissertation is discussed and recommended to protection on the Department of East Source study, History and Culture of people of the R.B Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies of Kazakhstan. The basic contents of the dissertation have been published as papers or reports in the republican and foreign editions, some parts of it were read at scientific conferences. There are 38 concerned publications, namely: 1 monographic research and more than 30 articles in the editions recommended. From the point of practical value, it is also import to research Kazakh shezhires – it can introduce new materials to our national historiography.
