3. Varieties of products

Two types of products are distinguished by the method of connecting the fragments.





  • Smooth ones are used for installation of systems with normal pressure up to 50 atm. Tightness of the connection is made here due to the tapered surface on the product with smaller diameter. The trapezoidal thread provides a tight connection.




  • Tubing with shrunk out ends - they are threaded and a socket is screwed on one side. Markings are also made there. Socket for tubing provides jointing strength that equals 90% of parameters of a pipeline.

Depending on the purpose - nature of liquid or gas, products are classified as follows:



  • products for completing gas wells;




  • pipeline for oil wells;







  • products for injection wells, where resistance to internal pressure is particularly important.

Tubing is inserted into prefabricated casing, and parkers are used to secure it. The string can be removed from the well if it needs to be replaced or repaired. Therefore, when installing, it is important to design the string so that it can be easily and safely retrieved.


The same well may have different performance characteristics for operation in different production horizons. The tubing operating instructions allow no more than two of these designs in the same mine.


CONCLUSION
Pipe is part of a very large number of parts of any process equipment. If you look at oil production platforms, refineries and petrochemical complexes, one thing that catches your eye is the complex network of pipelines. Tubing are used to move gases and liquids within strings during gas and oil well applications. Also the scope of these tubing applications is to perform pulling and repair operations. Tubing and tubing are designed to be used as part of a tubing unit. Tubing is used directly for lowering into the well. They are used to move fluid vertically, horizontally and obliquely. During operation, tubing is constantly exposed to mechanical loads and corrosive environments, which places high demands on tubing for strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and tightness of connections. Tubing is connected to other elements of the column by means of a threaded connection. Such connection provides a high degree of flexibility, high level of tightness, as well as ease of repair. An important feature of seamless tubing is the absence of weld seams, which are the most vulnerable part of any pipe, where damages occur most often, resulting in depressurization of the entire production complex. They also protect gas and liquid from well walls, prevent corrosion, deposition of harmful particles on walls. The tubing placed in the well provides for tripping and workover operations, which are regularly needed. It should also be noted that pipes should be extracted and inserted back in with maximum care. They are tested for strength, stability, compliance with state standards and technical conditions of the enterprise to ensure reliable and long-term operation of pipelines. They can also be made of materials such as steel, fiberglass and aluminum alloys. At that, the first type is equipped with centrifugal pumps. Steel products must not have deviations when they are made and sent to production. If they do, they are sent for remelting. Aluminum structures have lightness, good corrosion resistance and decent strength characteristics. At a distance of 0.4 - 0.6 m from the end of the pipe, at the side of couplings, a marking is stamped. It indicates: nominal diameter of the pipe, mm; strength group of steel; wall thickness, mm; trademark; month and year of manufacture. Also Do not haul pipes by drag or allow them to sag or bend. They should also not be dumped on the ground, a crane should be used. Pipes should be laid on the platform with wooden blocks put underneath to protect them from sagging and contamination. Do not lay tubing on the ground. A safety ring must be screwed onto the threaded part of each pipe.
