| ABSTRACT
(Contemporary poets of Abay’s era) Abay was a great Kazakh poet, composer and philosopher. He was also a cultural reformer toward European and Russian cultures on the basis of enlightened Islam. The founder of a new Kazakh written fiction literature. His father, a Kazakh sultan , the famous senior Kunanbay Uskenbayuly. He was one of the educated guy of his times. He accepted by force Russian Empire’s colonialism, however he was internally against. Otherwise, other Kazakh power holders such as Kunanbay didn’t let him to not to accept Russian acquiring . However, intellectuals were not able to stop Russian attackers, and the viability of the leading Kazakh consider how to adjust the power of the Russian citizens to use in own interest. It was the most important thing to learn the Russian language in order to make come true intentions. In addition, Kunanbai Haji kept hope and encountered big performance from Abay rather than other children. Abay’s real name was Ibrahim. His mother treated him as Abay. In adulthood he was known among whole population as Abay. Abay Qunanbayuly learned to read and review letter recognition with rural youth . They were taught by mullah. They learned contents of the book of the Koran of Islam, they knew very well the principles of Shariah. Then his father Kunanbay sent him to Semey city to Russian school. The purpose of deed was to improve knowledge of Russian language of Abay. He were studying Russian only for three-month. After that he tried to fulfill his knowledge by self-study and development. He learned detailed literature and culture of Western Europe in Russian . Russian poets’ poems were translated into Kazakh thanks to his great rich knowledge and background. Abay's major work is The Book of Words, a philosophic treatise and collection of poems where he encourages his fellow Kazakhs to embrace education, literacy, and good moral character in order to escape poverty, enslavement and corruption. His contribution to literature is unique the field of art and song-poems. In this article we poets discussed the songs and poems of Abai and other creators. During work we applied historical and genetic research and comparative and historical methods. As a result, we were convinced that Abay’s song-poem legacy is full of tender, delicate feelings.
